Bee glue lozenges could fight gum disease
NCT ID NCT06888453
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether lozenges made from propolis (a substance bees produce) can improve gum health in 100 young adults with mild to moderate gingivitis. Participants chewed the lozenges twice daily for a week while keeping their normal brushing routine. Researchers measured gum inflammation, plaque buildup, and immune markers in saliva to see if the lozenges helped control gum disease.
