New program aims to get kidney patients off the waitlist and into surgery
NCT ID NCT06326905
Summary
This study is testing a home-based support program for people waiting for a kidney transplant who are currently 'inactive' on the official waitlist. A team of a nurse, an occupational therapist, and a handyman will visit participants at home over four months to help them tackle personal, social, and home environment barriers. The goal is to help these patients become 'active' transplant candidates and improve their strength and quality of life while they wait.
