First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at how different doses and methods of giving progesterone (vaginal, under the skin, or muscle injection) affect the structure and function of the uterine lining in women with regular cycles. The goal was to find the best way to prepare the uterus for a future embryo transfer, but no embryos were used—only tissue samples were taken. The study involved 109 healthy women aged 18-35 with no history of infertility.
