First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested three different probiotics (Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactobacillus lactis, and Lactobacillus helveticus) in 89 adults with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Participants took probiotic capsules or a placebo daily for 8 weeks, along with a standard liver supplement. Researchers measured liver function, body changes, and gut bacteria to see if the probiotics improved liver health.
