NCT ID NCT01235091
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether a program designed specifically for women who use drugs could help them reduce risky behaviors and prevent HIV and other STDs. Over 500 women from the St. Louis area took part. They were split into three groups: one got standard advice, another added a wellness exam, and a third added extra educational sessions. The goal was to see which approach worked best at lowering drug use and sexual risks over time.
