NCT ID NCT06125210
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a combination of early rehabilitation, nutrition support, and early tracheotomy to prevent children from becoming dependent on mechanical ventilators. Researchers will enroll 150 stable children on ventilators and compare the bundle approach to standard care. The goal is to reduce the number of kids who need long-term breathing support.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
early bedside rehabilitation, nutrition program, and tracheotomy
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a standard care bundle to help children on ventilators recover faster and avoid long-term dependence.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with no phase, so results may not be conclusive. The interventions are complex and may not work for all children.
