Three-Session therapy aims to stop PTSD before it starts in spinal injury patients

NCT ID NCT05233111

Summary

This study is testing whether a brief, three-session therapy can prevent post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in people recovering from spinal cord injuries. Researchers are comparing this special therapy to standard rehabilitation care in 200 patients during their hospital recovery. The goal is to reduce psychological distress and prevent long-term PTSD symptoms that often develop after traumatic injuries.
