First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether memantine (an Alzheimer's drug) and rosuvastatin (a cholesterol drug) can prevent nerve damage caused by the chemotherapy drug oxaliplatin in people with colorectal cancer. About 46 adults will receive these drugs alongside their chemo to see if they experience less numbness, tingling, or pain. The goal is to protect nerves without interfering with cancer treatment.
