Simple breathing change before surgery may prevent stomach issues
NCT ID NCT07274488
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 128 people having gallbladder surgery to see if giving them extra oxygen before anesthesia (instead of using a mask to help them breathe) would reduce stomach bloating and sore throat. The researchers compared two groups: one that got mask ventilation and one that got preoxygenation. The goal was to find a better way to prepare patients for surgery and improve their recovery.
