Dialysis before surgery: timing matters in kidney patients
NCT ID NCT07339202
First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 02, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at whether having dialysis on the same day as surgery is safe and practical for people with end-stage kidney disease. About 30 adults who are on a regular dialysis schedule and need non-emergency surgery will be randomly assigned to receive dialysis on the day of surgery or not. Researchers will track complications and scheduling issues to see which timing works better.
