Summary
This study tested whether a natural steroid called pregnenolone can improve PTSD symptoms in 96 Iraq/Afghanistan veterans. Over 10 weeks, participants took either pregnenolone or a placebo and had regular check-ins and mental health assessments. The goal was to see if the supplement could reduce PTSD severity and related issues like pain.
