First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study explores the real-life experiences of people who had Lyme disease during or before pregnancy and are now raising children. Participants fill out surveys about their health, mental well-being, and child development, then take part in an interview to share their personal stories. The goal is to understand the unique challenges they face and what kind of support they need.

What this could lead to

This research could help doctors and policymakers better support pregnant people with Lyme disease and improve care guidelines.

What could go wrong

This is a small observational study (30 participants) that relies on self-reported experiences, so findings may not apply to everyone with Lyme disease.
