Single pill before surgery could slash painkiller need
NCT ID NCT04122196
Summary
This study tested if giving a single dose of the medication pregabalin right before kidney stone surgery could help control pain afterward. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce how much opioid pain medication patients needed to take. About 118 adults having this specific surgery participated, receiving either pregabalin or a placebo pill before their procedure.
