First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at 114 pregnant women to see if special ultrasound measurements of the baby's kidney and placenta could predict health problems in newborns. Researchers compared women with preeclampsia, a serious pregnancy condition, to healthy pregnant women. The goal was to find a way to identify babies at risk early, but this study only observed and measured, it did not test a new treatment.
