This study will observe 120 young adults with prediabetes to understand how different types of prediabetes relate to metabolic syndrome, a cluster of conditions that raise the risk for heart disease and diabetes. Researchers will classify participants based on blood sugar levels and check for insulin resistance, abnormal cholesterol, and fatty liver.
