Timing of radiation may cut brain cancer spread

NCT ID NCT05124236

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving a single dose of radiation before surgery for brain metastases can lower the chance of cancer spreading to the lining of the brain, compared to five doses after surgery. About 200 adults with brain tumors that can be removed will take part. The goal is to see which timing works better at preventing disease spread and improving quality of life.
