Summary
This pilot study tested two common blood pressure medications—a combination pill of hydrochlorothiazide and lisinopril versus extended-release nifedipine—in 70 new mothers with high blood pressure after delivery. The goal was to see which pill controls blood pressure better in the first week and a half after childbirth. Both drugs are already used in standard care, so this study aims to refine treatment choices rather than discover a new therapy.
