Summary

This study looks at two common blood pressure drugs, nifedipine and enalapril, to see if they work equally well in controlling high blood pressure after childbirth. About 850 women with pregnancy-related or chronic high blood pressure will be randomly assigned to one of the medicines. The main goal is to see how many women need to be readmitted to the hospital for blood pressure problems.
