New study tests stricter blood pressure rules for new moms
NCT ID NCT06069102
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether it's practical and helpful to use stricter blood pressure targets for new mothers who had high blood pressure during pregnancy. It compared keeping blood pressure under 135/85 (tight control) to the usual target of under 150/100. The goal was to see if the stricter approach was doable and if it led to better blood pressure readings and fewer hospital trips six months after giving birth.
