NCT ID NCT03817957

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested three types of iron supplements in 187 adults who had low iron before major surgery and developed anemia after it. The goal was to see which treatment—two different IV iron formulas or oral iron pills—worked best to quickly raise hemoglobin levels. The results help doctors choose the most effective way to treat postoperative anemia.
