App and chat combo takes on anemia in teen girls

Summary
This study tests a program that combines face-to-face counseling with a mobile app to help teenage girls with iron deficiency anemia. About 160 girls aged 14-17 with low iron levels will either get the program or standard care. The goal is to see if the program raises their hemoglobin and ferritin levels over 4 months.
