Teaching teens to spot health info and stay safe online

NCT ID NCT07765641

First seen Aug 14, 2026 · Last updated Aug 14, 2026

Summary

This trial tests whether a three-week interactive cyber health education program can improve high school students' ability to find, understand, and use health information online, as well as their awareness of information security. About 113 students from two public high schools will be randomly assigned to either receive the program or continue with their usual schooling. The program includes presentations, demonstrations, and group activities. Researchers will measure changes in digital health literacy and information security awareness right after the program and again four weeks later.
