Summary
This study will test whether taking oral iron supplements every other day works as well as taking them daily for pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia in their second trimester. About 184 women will be randomly assigned to one of two dosing schedules for four weeks. Researchers will measure changes in hemoglobin and ferritin levels, track how well women stick to the regimen, and monitor stomach-related side effects.
