Home visits aim to ensure final wishes are honored
NCT ID NCT04070183
Summary
This study tested whether having a trained facilitator visit older adults at home to help complete a medical order form (called a POST form) improved the care they received. Researchers wanted to see if this help made the medical care people got at the end of their life better match what they actually wanted. They also looked at whether it reduced anxiety and stress for family members making decisions.
