Could a simple saliva test prevent half of all Women's cancers?
NCT ID NCT07498829
First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study offers free genetic testing to 5000 women, trans men, and non-binary people with female reproductive organs to find inherited gene changes that raise the risk of breast, ovarian, bowel, and womb cancers. Participants use a smartphone app to decide if they want testing, then provide a saliva sample by mail. The goal is to see if offering testing to everyone—not just those with a family history—can catch more high-risk individuals and help them take steps to prevent cancer.
