New polish tool aims to better track breathing problems in ALS patients
NCT ID NCT07178574
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tests a Polish version of a questionnaire called DALS-15, which measures how severe breathing difficulty (dyspnea) is in people with ALS. About 120 Polish-speaking ALS patients who have trouble breathing will fill out the questionnaire along with other breathing tests. The goal is to make sure the Polish version is accurate and reliable for use in clinics and research.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a reliable tool for Polish-speaking ALS patients and doctors to better monitor breathing problems.
What could go wrong
This is an observational validation study, not a treatment trial. It may not improve outcomes directly, and the questionnaire might not work well in all patients.
