Summary
This study looked at whether regular screening for prostate, lung, colorectal, and ovarian cancers can reduce deaths from these diseases. About 155,000 men and women aged 55-74 were randomly assigned to either get screened or receive usual care. Researchers tracked cancer cases and deaths over many years to see if screening made a difference.
