First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at whether regular screening tests for prostate, lung, colorectal, and ovarian cancers can help find cancer early and reduce the number of people who die from these cancers. Over 76,000 men and women took part, with some getting routine screening and others getting usual care. The main goal was to see if screening lowers the death rate from these cancers.
