Summary
This trial investigates whether plasmapheresis — a procedure that filters the blood to remove harmful antibodies — can slow the progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in patients who have a specific autoantibody against a protein called NRIP. The study will enroll 5 adults with ALS who test positive for this antibody. Researchers will measure changes in motor function and breathing capacity before and after the treatment to see if removing the antibody makes a difference.
