Blood markers may reveal pregnancy complications early
NCT ID NCT01736826
First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study measured levels of free DNA and nucleosomes in the blood of 137 women to see if these markers differ between those with pregnancy complications (like preeclampsia or blood clots) and healthy women (pregnant or not). The goal was to understand if these markers could help identify or monitor high-risk pregnancies. No treatment was given; this was an observational comparison.
