Plasma therapy may speed up wound healing in major new study
NCT ID NCT07553689
First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a special plasma device to regular wound care can help different types of wounds heal better and faster. About 1,000 people with acute wounds (like burns or cuts), chronic wounds (like diabetic foot ulcers), or wounds after skin grafts or stitches will take part. Half will get standard care plus plasma therapy, and the other half will get standard care alone. Researchers will check healing rates, pain levels, and scarring over 6 months.
