NCT ID NCT03532100

First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested a new type of prosthetic foot that can twist in ways similar to a natural ankle. Fourteen people with a leg amputation below the knee walked in straight lines and circles while the foot's twisting was adjusted. The goal was to find the best setting that reduces uncomfortable twisting forces on the leg and feels best to the user.
