New ALS drug trial launches: hope for slowing the disease?

Summary
This early-stage study tests a new drug called VTx-002 in 12 people with ALS. The main goal is to check if the drug is safe and tolerable when given as a single injection into the fluid around the brain and spinal cord. Researchers will also look for signs that the drug might slow down the disease, but this is not a cure and participants will still need ongoing care.
