Can online surveys help heart patients and doctors talk better?
NCT ID NCT06164457
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This pilot study tests whether having patients with coronary artery disease fill out online surveys about their symptoms and quality of life, and sharing the results with their doctors, is practical and helpful. About 200 patients and their cardiologists will take part. The goal is to see if this approach improves communication and care, and to inform a larger future study.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could show that collecting patient feedback through surveys improves doctor-patient communication and care for heart disease.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small pilot study, not a treatment trial. It may not prove that the surveys improve health outcomes, and results may not apply to all heart patients.
