Phone Check-Ins tested to prevent anorexia relapse
NCT ID NCT04102475
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether regular phone calls from a healthcare team could help people with anorexia nervosa maintain a healthy weight after their first hospital stay. The study planned to compare phone-based support to standard follow-up care, but it was stopped early and only included 19 participants. The goal was to reduce the high relapse rate (38-41%) seen in the year after hospitalization.
