Pharmacists use High-Tech monitors to tame type 2 diabetes

NCT ID NCT06572306

First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether having a pharmacist guide people with type 2 diabetes in using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) improves blood sugar control and healthy behaviors more than standard finger-stick testing. About 40 adults with high A1c levels will use a CGM for 12 weeks under pharmacist supervision. The study compares their results to a similar group that only used a regular glucometer.
