New PET scan could improve prostate cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07242014

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study aims to see if a new type of PET scan (called 68Ga-XACP3) can find prostate cancer tumors as well as or better than the current standard scan (68Ga-PSMA). About 60 adults with newly diagnosed, suspected recurrent, or treated prostate cancer will receive both scans. The results will help doctors choose the best imaging method for detecting cancer.
