New triple pill combo could slash cholesterol after heart attacks

Summary
This study tests whether starting three cholesterol-lowering drugs (including bempedoic acid) early during a heart attack hospital stay works better than standard care. About 600 adults hospitalized for a heart attack will receive either the triple therapy or usual treatment. The goal is to see if the triple combo lowers 'bad' cholesterol more effectively after 8 weeks, potentially reducing future heart risks.
