MRI-Guided prostate cancer treatment could cut sessions to just two

NCT ID NCT07578519

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new way to give radiation for prostate cancer using only two treatments instead of the usual five or more. Doctors will use MRI scans to see how the tumor responds after the first dose, then adjust the second dose to target it more precisely. The goal is to safely reduce side effects while still controlling the cancer. The trial includes 50 men with intermediate or high-risk prostate cancer.
