Custom immune cells fight blood cancers after transplant

NCT ID NCT02727803

Summary

This study tests a personalized immune cell therapy for patients with blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. After receiving chemotherapy and a cord blood transplant, patients get infusions of natural killer (NK) cells—immune cells that may kill remaining cancer cells and reduce transplant complications. The trial aims to see if this approach helps patients live longer without their cancer progressing.
