First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether playing personalized music therapy based on recorded parental voices can help preterm infants in the NICU stay more stable and reduce stress for parents. Twenty preterm infants will each receive both the music therapy and quiet rest in a random order. The study measures the babies' oxygen levels and heart rate, and surveys parents about their stress at discharge.
