Tracking the emotional toll of a cancer diagnosis: when does anxiety peak?

NCT ID NCT07727434

First seen Jul 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 28, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study follows adults with a suspected bone or soft tissue tumor to see how their stress and anxiety levels change at three critical moments: before biopsy, after learning the diagnosis, and when treatment begins. Participants fill out standard questionnaires about anxiety, depression, and stress at each point. The goal is to understand which stage of the care journey is most emotionally challenging, so that support can be better timed.
