First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a 30-minute education session with a radiation therapist, before standard radiotherapy, can reduce anxiety and improve quality of life for breast cancer patients. About 109 participants will be randomly assigned to either the extra session or standard care. Researchers will measure anxiety, self-confidence, and satisfaction through questionnaires.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
person-centered education session with a radiation therapist
What this could lead to
If it works, this could show that a short education session helps breast cancer patients feel less anxious and more in control during radiotherapy.
What could go wrong
This is a small, single-center study, so results may not apply to all patients. The intervention is brief and may not significantly change anxiety levels.
