Summary

This study looked at whether a combination of behavioral counseling and medication adjustments could reduce anxiety and depression in adults aged 60 and older who were about to have surgery for cancer. About 105 participants were randomly assigned to receive this support or usual care. The goal was to see if symptoms improved three months after surgery.
