DNA levels in blood tracked during cancer operations

NCT ID NCT03284684

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at how DNA from tumors changes in the blood before, during, and after surgery for breast, prostate, or colon cancer. Thirty adults having curative surgery provided blood samples to measure these DNA levels. The goal was to understand the natural pattern of DNA changes, which can help design future studies on how different surgical techniques or drugs might affect cancer spread.
