First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested the drug perampanel in adults with refractory status epilepticus, a condition where seizures don't stop with standard treatments. The goal was to see if perampanel could help patients safely come off strong sedatives without seizures returning. Only 1 person enrolled before the study was stopped early, so no clear conclusions can be drawn.
