New combo therapy aims to boost immune response in hard-to-treat breast cancers

NCT ID NCT04683679

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab, with or without the targeted drug olaparib, to standard radiation therapy is safe and effective for people with metastatic triple-negative or hormone-receptor-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer. About 34 adults whose cancer has spread will receive radiation plus the drug combinations. The goal is to see if these treatments shrink tumors better than radiation alone.
