NCT ID NCT03021460

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests a combination of two drugs—pembrolizumab (an immunotherapy that helps the immune system fight cancer) and ibrutinib (which blocks certain enzymes cancer cells need to grow)—in people with advanced melanoma that cannot be removed by surgery. The main goals are to find the safest dose of ibrutinib when given with pembrolizumab and to see if the combination shrinks tumors. About 20 participants are enrolled.
