Summary
This study tests a drug called pelacarsen in people who recently had a heart attack and have high levels of Lp(a), a type of fat in the blood that raises heart risk. The goal is to see if the drug can safely lower Lp(a) levels and improve heart health. About 240 adults in the US will take either the drug or a placebo, and researchers will check their blood and heart arteries over time.
