Summary

This study tests a drug called pegvisomant in 25 adults with severe insulin resistance caused by lipodystrophy or insulin receptor gene changes. Participants give themselves daily shots for one month and have two short hospital stays for tests. The goal is to see if blocking growth hormone can improve how the body handles fat and sugar.
